I have the honour to request your approval,
for the grant to the Council of St. Stephen's College of
the areas shown coloured red, and marked A and B on the
attached plan. A copy of the terms and conditions, which
have been accepted by the Council, is also attached. These
follow the lines on which the original grant of G. Lot No.76 to the Council of St. Stephen's College was made; viz. twenty-
one years lease, Crown Rent of $1.00 per acre, with restrictive
covenants as to user and alienation and with the same rights
of conversion, subject to reassessed Crown Rent and building
covenants to be fixed by Government.
2.
The two areas are adjacent to the lot on which St. Stephen's College stands, and are for the purpose of a Preparatory School. It is proposed to erect the new
building on the area A and to use the area B as a playing
field.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient, humble servant,
Waldenst
Governor, &c.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
